The Marketing & Communications Supervisor supports the execution of Workforce Solutions North Central Texas’ (WSNCT) marketing, events, and communications efforts to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and goals. Reporting to the Community Engagement and External Affairs Senior Manager, this role focuses on supervising day-to-day activities, providing guidance to team members, and ensuring the successful implementation of established strategies. The supervisor plays a key role in coordinating public relations, social media, and content creation efforts, ensuring consistency and quality across platforms. By overseeing team workflows and collaborating with vendors, the Marketing & Communications Supervisor ensures deliverables meet organizational standards and timelines.
Marketing & Campaign Oversight:
Supervise the implementation of marketing strategies to promote WSNCT’s programs, events, and initiatives. Ensure campaigns are executed according to established plans and align with organizational goals and messaging standards.
Event Coordination:
Provide oversight for the planning and execution of events, ensuring they are well-organized and meet established objectives. Collaborate with team members to manage event logistics, timelines, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring adherence to organizational guidelines.
Communications Strategy & Public Relations:
Support the execution of WSNCT’s communications strategy to enhance public engagement and visibility. Oversee public relations efforts, including media outreach, press releases, and responses to media inquiries, ensuring alignment with established messaging. Maintain relationships with media outlets to support positive coverage of WSNCT’s initiatives.
Social Media Management:
Supervise the creation and scheduling of social media content to engage audiences and promote WSNCT’s programs and events. Ensure content aligns with organizational messaging and branding standards. Monitor social media performance and provide recommendations for adjustments based on analytics.
Content Creation & Writing:
Oversee the development of written content, including newsletters, social media posts, press releases, and website updates. Ensure all content adheres to established standards for clarity, tone, and alignment with WSNCT’s voice. Provide feedback and guidance to team members to maintain quality and consistency.
Newsletter Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for WSNCT’s newsletter vendor. Coordinate the development, review, and distribution of newsletters to ensure timely and effective communication with stakeholders.
Collaboration & Branding:
Work closely with the Brand Supervisor to ensure all marketing and communications materials are visually consistent and meet established brand standards. Collaborate with internal teams to support outreach and engagement efforts.
Data-Driven Insights:
Review analytics and performance data to assess the effectiveness of marketing, communications, and social media efforts. Provide feedback to team members and suggest adjustments to improve outcomes.
Team Leadership & Project Oversight:
Provide direct supervision to the Marketing & Events Coordinator and Communications Coordinator, ensuring their work aligns with established goals and expectations. Monitor project timelines and resources to ensure deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Desired Skills:
- Previous supervisory experience leading communications professionals.
- Team Support & Mentorship – experience supporting purchasing staff through collaboration, training, and guidance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and quickly react to changing business needs while meeting firm deadlines
- Ability to work independently and with minimal direction
- Strong communication skills to articulate persuasively and clearly about WSNCT’s mission, value and initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information communications, marketing, business administration, public administration, or a related field and at least three (3) years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience.
Starting Salary
Salary Range: $72,883.00 – $96,000.00 annually**, depending on qualifications and experience.
FLSA: Exempt

An employee becomes forty percent (40%) vested in NCTCOG's contributions after three full years of employment. An additional fifteen percent {15%) is vested for each additional year of employment. An employee becomes fully vested after seven years of employment.
