The Transportation Department of the North Central Texas Council of Governments is seeking an Intern to support grant-related administrative processes for transportation projects by organizing files, recording metadata, completing data entry, creating documentation, and assessing outstanding actions. This position seeks a detail-oriented and process-minded student who can understand process workflows, organize documentation, and research discrepancies. Ideal candidates should attend school in the Dallas-Fort Worth region and be able to work at least 20 hours per week while attending school.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Scanning, uploading, and organizing electronic and physical files
- Working with supervisor to track and update department subscriptions, memberships, travel acknowledgements, and travel credits
- Drafting for supervisor review, communication to staff regarding payable closeouts and assisting supervisor with purchase order closeouts
- Assisting supervisor with project-related financial reporting and analysis
- Working with supervisor to process accounting transfers and corrections
- Drafting for supervisor review, tables, charts, and process documentation
- Assisting supervisor with paid invoice maintenance
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Good communication, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills, with ability to listen to and follow instructions, coordinate with other team members, and present ideas
- Detail oriented, highly organized, with an ability to manage multiple assignments/tasks and work well in a deadline-driven environment without diminishing quality of work
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Required Education and Experience
- Must be attending an accredited college or university in a degree-seeking program during employment

Starting Salary
Minimum of $17.10 per hour
